The Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action is an interagency group of child protection practitioners and experts from all around the world.

The Alliance’s members work with children growing up in some of the most difficult circumstances imaginable.

The group is currently co-led by UNICEF and Save the Children. As of the development of this e-course, the Alliance’s core members were: ChildFund Alliance, the Child Protection AOR, CPC Learning Network, Danish Refugee Council, Hurras Network, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent national societies, International Organization for Migration, International Rescue Committee, Islamic Relief, Plan International, Save the Children, Terre des hommes, UNICEF, UNHCR, War Child Holland, War Child UK and World Vision International. In addition, the Alliance counted 53 general members, including over 15 national and local organizations.

We are committed to setting standards and providing technical support to ensure that efforts to protect children from violence and exploitation are of high quality and effective.

Part of the Alliance’s work is to measure child protection issues and evaluate interventions and then to promote that learning to as wide a range of relevant actors as possible.

As you can see, encouraging learning and development is an integral component of what we do as the Alliance. Together, we develop quality materials and deliver them through face to face, on-line and blended learning opportunities. This e-course is one of those resources.
